This guide includes aftercare advice, supplier links, warranties, and answers to common questions. And of course — if you ever need help, we’re only a message away.
Cabinetry Care
Our wooden cabinetry is made from natural materials designed to last. Gentle daily cleaning is all it needs.
Daily Cleaning
Use warm, soapy water (95% water, 5% mild detergent).
Wipe with a soft cloth and dry afterwards.
Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, strong chemicals or steam.
Painted Finishes
Painted kitchens will naturally experience small chips or touch-up needs over time, especially on darker colours. This is normal and easily refreshed.
Natural Timber Movement
Timber may show tiny hairline cracks at joints as seasons change. This is a natural characteristic of wooden kitchens.
Your Free One-Year Touch-Up
All Collins Bespoke kitchens (excluding supply-only) include a complimentary one-year visit where we:
Refresh paint
Make minor repairs
Re-align hardware
Check doors and drawers
You’ll be contacted near your kitchen’s first anniversary to arrange the visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do painted kitchens need regular touch-ups?
Small touch-ups are normal over time, especially on darker colours or high-use areas. Your free one-year visit includes paint refreshing.
Are tiny cracks in wooden cabinetry normal?
Yes — natural timber moves slightly with seasonal humidity, which may create fine hairline cracks at joints. It’s not a fault and doesn’t affect longevity.
Can I place hot pans directly onto quartz?
No — always use heat mats or trivets. Quartz is heat-resistant but can discolour or crack under extreme heat.
Do worktops need sealing?
Quartz does not.
Natural stones (granite, marble, quartzite) may require sealing depending on the supplier.
How do I register my appliances?
Every appliance brand has an online registration page. Links are included above. We’re happy to help if you’re unsure.
What should I do if a hinge or drawer becomes misaligned?
This is very common and usually caused by natural settling. Blum hardware is adjustable — and we can guide you or visit if needed.
How often should I oil wooden worktops?
If you have solid wood worktops, we recommend re-oiling every 3–6 months depending on use.
