Pinterest: Kendal House Kitchen

Pinterest is the perfect place to start looking if you need inspiration - for anything!

It’s basically an online scrapbook - and, if you haven’t discovered it yet whilst renovating or restyling your home - you’re missing out, big time. But, be careful if you download the app. It’s addictive! You’ll find yourself scrolling through millions and trillions of images…for hours! You have been warned…

We love it when our customers visit our showroom with a mood board showcasing ideas, but alternatively it’s just as good (if not better) to share your Pinterest board via email before your design meeting! That way, we can get a good idea of your style and wish-list items before meeting.

As a company, we are still fairly new to Pinterest and I’ve really been enjoying seeing which images are being saved and pinned. It’s helpful because it gives us a fantastic insight into current trends, what’s popular and what isn’t. With that in mind, I’ve decided to dedicate one blog each month to our most popular Pinterest image!

This month, our Kendal House kitchen has taken the title - and, we can see why! Coincidentally, I wanted to blog about this kitchen anyway. I recently visited to take some snaps, it really is fabulous!

From the stunning bi-fold doors than open up the space seamlessly to the garden, to the beautiful handcrafted, thoroughly bespoke cabinetry - this kitchen is abundant in character, plentiful in inspiration - and, really does have the wow-factor.

My favourite thing about this kitchen is the striking contrast between the natural wood flooring, dark beaded shaker-style cabinetry and the quirky red range cooker. Each element compliments the other, perfectly. And, opting for the granite worktops only adds to the unique personality of this lovely, lovely living-space.

Featuring a large central island with casual seating, plenty of drawers, extra storage cupboards and integrated oak chopping boards - it’s no wonder that the space has become the most social spot in the home. Ideal for entertaining with friends, informal dining and so much more.

A white ceramic farmhouse sink keeps the overall theme traditional and ties in with the classic cabinetry design. A Collins Bespoke kitchen is traditional, with a modern, contemporary twist - and, Kendal House is a wonderful example of this.

We really aren’t surprised of its popularity on Pinterest!
